• Baker Electric Solar Ranks No. 10 on San Diego Business Journal 2015 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies List

    With 283.59% growth between 2012 and 2014, Baker Electric Solar ranked No. 10. In its third appearance on the list since its founding in 2007, Baker capitalizes on its brand, superior offering and longevity in the electrical contracting industry.  

    SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 23, 2015 – Baker Electric Solar, a full-service solar provider and SunPower Elite Dealer, was recently recognized for its exponential growth by the San Diego Business Journal in its 2015 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies list. With 2012 revenue at $6.16M and 2014 revenue at $23.62M, Baker achieved 283.59% growth and ranked No. 10 on the prestigious 2015 list. The solar provider’s impressive growth is demonstrated by its previous ranks of No. 58 in 2014 and No. 79 in 2012. A contingency of Baker Electric Solar team members attended the 12th annual awards presentation at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego on July 9.

    San Diego-National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) San Diego Chapter honored its incoming officers and outgoing board members at this year’s 2015 annual Installation Dinner Dance. The annual dinner continues to be one of San Diego’s signature events attracting a wide spectrum of attendees. Special guests included; NECA State and National dignitaries and prominent area elected officials who recognized the many contributions NECA San Diego Chapter has made to the industry and to the community. Local Chapter President Timothy Dudek shared how NECA’ s business model and training has evolved to meet new technologies, reminding everyone present, that NECA contractors will continue to be the voice of the electrical subcontracting industry and a positive influence within San Diego and Imperial Valley.

    NECA’ s National past President Dennis Quebe, was presented with the “Industry Partnership Award” , which is given to a non-NECA San Diego Member who has done the most to advance the interests of the local electrical contracting industry at the local level.  A special tribute was made to NECA Board Governor Earl Restine Jr. receiving astounding applause, was honored with the prestigious “Founder’s Award” for his constant dedication and service towards bettering the industry. In NECA’s 75 year history, there have been only nine other recipients.  Outgoing 2014 Board Members were recognized for their past commitment by CA Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins, CA Senator Joel Anderson, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez and Assemblyman “Rocky” Chavez.
