NECA Contractor Saturn Electric Recognized for Design and Installation of EV Charging Stations by City of San Diego
SAN DIEGO – NECA contractor and board member Timothy Dudek, President of Saturn Electric was recognized by San Diego city leaders Wednesday, as they announced the completion of a project that more than doubled capacity for drivers to charge up their electric vehicles at public locations.
San Diego’s Mayor, Kevin Faulconer praised Saturn Electric for their role in the design and installation of this major project. The commitment made by the city towards creating a sustainable future is part of the Climate Action Plan adopted in December of 2015. The increased number of charging stations will allow the public more access, to city facilities using a cleaner vehicle.
Funded through a grant from the California Energy Commission, Saturn Electric was able to partner with the city and the local utility.
Approximately 300 EV charging stations have been installed by NECA Contractor, Saturn Electric, across the city.
“By having more access to EV charging stations, lessens range anxiety and allows families to enjoy what San Diego is famous for, our beaches, our parks and our communities. The family car will be now be the electric car” commented Tim Dudek, president of Saturn Electric.

Vehicles can be charged using all major credit cards, according to the city.
Saturn Electric has been a member of NECA since 1962. Timothy Dudek also serves on the NECA San Diego Chapter Executive Board of Directors and was a past NECA Board President.
